We didn’t
liberate Eritrea to beg for food, nor to be run from Europe
Insult to injury, those
who were ridiculing and discouraging
Eritrea’s fierce and Lone
struggle for independence, particularly at its vertex…the last thirty years, are
now in a bid again with their international bandits[rootless mercenaries] unlashing
a scorch earth campaign on our country. They are coercing our leader and
congress to succumb to their pressure, to get a free ride to exploit our
peoples wealth and labor. If not to break our country into warlord
fiefdoms as they have done in most of
other African countries. |
These nightmares of Africa
who tortured murdered enslaved and sold its sons and daughters, as far as to
North and South America. loot its natural resources, are now scrambling to
re-colonize it in different
form,[through intimidation and blackmail via their parasites], after they
systematical foil the late fifties and sixties liberation movement that
ignited all over the continent. [The Pan- Africanism]. From Algeria to Gana,
through Kenya to Tanzania and Zimbabwe, Africans to determined their journey
to their future for self determination; to run their own affairs; to be an
owner of their land and natural resource rather than to be slaves, hand their sovereignty and wealth
over to Europeans. |
These brutal colonizers
and invaders, to destabilize African Nations during post colonial war have succeeded in assassinating Africa’s nationalist leaders; put a puppet
government or sponsor a coup d'état. Now after the cold war, they are in a
new phase, reducing nations into a warlord fiefdoms. To accomplish their looting of the continent’s wealth in the back alley, denying the citizens to form a central government
to administrate and control their wealth and protect their sovereign
countries. Such as In Angola, Sierra Leone;
The Congo; Liberia; Nigeria etc…breaking up governments through
anarchy and chaos are able literally looting
the natural resources mainly diamonds and petroleum, arming rootless
mercenaries. |
Recently, Eritrea has
become a target for these
international bandits and arm dealers. To frustrate the idea of Africans
determination and independent thinking of self reliance, to bring their country
out of misery on their own. Learning from the experience of the last fourty
years Africa suffered. |
Why? is that all of a sadden that Eritrea’s
“human right and democracy” is a concern for Europe. Why was it not a concern for the last fourty years, when
four million of its citizens were denied their unalienable right to exist as a free people. |
Why? was it not a concern
when our people were murdered; tortured; their women raped their property
looted; their village burned and bulldozed; |
Why? was it not a concern
when millions where forced to flee
their villages, homes and eventually their mother land. Where was Europe then
? |
The truth of the matter is
Europe was granting financial aid, arms, food and necessary material for Ethiopia in its crusade on Eritrea’s
sovereignty. |
Not considering their past
mistakes they are again at it-punishing Eritrea, after it survived a three
year military campaign by Ethiopia at its sovereignty. where was Europe when
tens of thousand of its citizen expelled not only from their farm and
villages in their sovereign country but from where they resided in Ethiopia.
Evidently Europe never cried or
complained about their human right violation rather, it looked the other way.
Now when our government
with its determined citizens trying to overcome this agony on its own, Europe
instead of sympathizing and reaching to their plea is flexing its muscle to
strangle hold our people back to misery. To pock a hole at its pride, and,
frustrate its development |
Why not Europe talks about
the environmental degradation of Eritrea, and, in all of Africa because of
the war that has been ragging for the last fifty years. The forest is almost gone, our wild life is about to vanish, rivers and the water wells are drying. Our problem
today is basic survival: Our health, it is malaria, amoebic dysentery,
trachoma, not to mention the vicious killer AID etc…, what we need is clean
water, agricultural developments, Hospitals, schools and roads, industrial
development and constructions etc…
above all “peace.” |
Since politics is a
concentrated reflection of the economy of a given society, while people are
starving and living as a refugee in a plastic tent, their farm land littered
with a land mine, to perpetuate cliché is nothing but insult and diversion of
the objective reality. What we need from Europe is a genuine helping hand not
a hand out, nor intimidation. |
Obviously the food aid that Ethiopia is receiving since 1974, which has cost it three governments didn’t help, it rather made it handicap and dependent, rather than productive and independent. Without a doubt, Either you help or not, Eritrea can’t stop developing independently and peacefully at it’s pace. Since our liberation of Eritrea was left solely to us, let governing of our country be-left to us as well. |
