Eritrea Tyrant Turns To Libya For Mediation Over Djibouti

23 June 2008 -- Eritrea tyrant Isaias Afawerki appears to have indeed buckled under the avalanche of coordinated international pressure to allow mediation or dialogue to settle bloody border dispute with Djibouti.

By way of one of his sycophantic diaspora Brigades to Perpetuate Tyranny in Eritrea posted in Libya, 'The Eritrean Revolutionary Committees' Movement”, Eritrea tyrant Afawarki appealed to the Leader of the Revolution, Moammar Ghadafi, “to help settling Eritrea-Djibouti tension”(sic). Following is a report in this regard posted today on the website of Libyan Jamahiriya Broadcasting Corporation:

The Eritrean Revolutionary Committees' Movement appealed to the Leader of the Revolution to help settling Eritrea-Djibouti tension.

In its appeal statement, the Movement highly appreciated the Leader's great efforts and struggle since outbreak of the Great al-Fateh Revolution to get rid of the colonialism in the African continent, liberate the African soil and the world from colonialism, liberate people from oppression, slavery and injustice; and to establish peace and stability in Africa. The movement as well valued the Leader's tireless efforts to achieve the African unity and the African Union, and his prominent role in settling disputes everywhere.

The statement said (Brother the Leader: The Arab-African horn is one of the world's regions, in which most of the important human and civil interactions took place. The people in this region are strongly tied with each other with historical relations; even before colonialism had fabricated the borders to tear these relations and to realize its own interests so that the region will neither savour stability, development nor construction.

The Great Leader: You are surely aware of what the colonialist states have done for their interests by triggering border tension, in Ras Dmera, between the two sisterly and neighboring countries, Eritrea and Djibouti.

We, the Eritrean Revolutionary Committees' Movement, appeal to you to make every effort to contain the current crisis between Eritrea and Djibouti. We also appeal to President Isaias Afworki and President Omar Guelleh to resort to the peaceful solutions).
