 Eritrea
tyrant Afewarki soliciting interviews by internatinal media on the
occasion of the nation's 18th Independence Anniversary this month.
The
international media is not doing it on its own, but Eritrea tyrant
Afewarki can't wait: He is publicly soliciting the international
media for interviews! Reuters, AFP, AP, Le Monde, BBC, CNN, where are
you all? Promise, you all get easy access to interview “.. any government official, and the freedom of disseminating your findings without reservations and hesitation.” You can't beat that!
Early
this month, invoking the upcoming Eritrea's 18th
Independence Anniversary later this month, Eritrea tyrant Isias
Afewarki, via his propaganda website, shabait.com, has been
soliciting interviews by international media promising “openness,
candidacy(sic), and superb knowledge of subject matter in line with
“Culture of Openness: Unique and Fabulous Eritrean Value”
that “cannot be found anywhere else in the world” on
“issues such as the nation-building process, the political
status of our region along with its possible directions and also in
regard of the position of the Eritrean Government in different global
and political issues.”
No
mention of issues regarding Governance, Democracy, national
Elections, Human Rights, Justice, Rule OF Law, Free Press, Freedom of
Religion, Political opposition, or parliament. Wait a minute, what is
then there to interview Eritrea tyrant Afewarki about on Independence
Day if not on the issues that matter most and are germane to
Eritrea's national independence ? Well those national issues are off
limits, hence non-negotiable because it is official and the int'l
media is well aware of it that there reigns utter tyranny in
Eritrea all the way. Case closed.
Ok,
even on regional and global issues, what is there to interview
Afewarki about? Afewarki's stance and modus operandi on those issues
is also clear to the int'l community: It is his way or the highway?
Afewarki is at odds with regioinal organization, IGAD, continental
organization, AU, international organization, UN, and international
power houses like the USA?
Well,
by offering unsolicited interviews, Afewarki gets to break out of his
self-imposed diplomatic and political isolation, on the one hand, and
on the other hand, the international media gets an earful about his
bravado in standing up to powerhouse USA, defying the UN, UN Security
Council, and his ability to fend off Western conspiracies to unseat
him and to reverse Eritrea's national independence under the pretext
of human rights, democracy, freedom of religion, free press etc!
It
is certainly up to the international media to let Afewarki's dreams
come true by granting him the interview that he so badly needs on
Independence Day. But you all be cautioned! Any mention of national
issues has proven to trigger Afewarki's furious temper tantrums!
Don't believe me? Just ask one of Afewarki temper tantrum victims, Al Jazeera's Riz Khan show moderator, Mr. Annad or get a taste
of it here
or watch the entire episode at:

Good
luck! It's your call!
