UNSC slams Eritrea Tyrant Over Involvement In Somalia

15 May 2009, United Nations—In a unanimously passed statement this afternoon, the UN Security Council slammed Eritrea tyrant, Isias Afewarki, for his reported involvement in bloody attempts to unseat UN-recognized transitional government in Somalia.

“The Security Council also expresses its concern over reports that Eritrea has supplied arms to those opposing the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia in breach of the United Nations arms embargo, and calls on the Sanctions Monitoring Group to investigate.” said the statement.
