Eritrea:
Economic Emancipation or Economic Strangulation
26
May 2009 Berhane

 Eritrea
tyrant Afewarki playing apostle of democracy and economic freedom
while denying both in his own backyard!
First
it was a certified Eritrea tyrant, Isias Afewarki, on a crusade to
lecture the world on Democracy! Now it is again this same arrant
tyrant that has a sole, exclusive, and firm stranglehold on the
economy of the land Eritrea playing the apostle of economic
emancipation! Then there is this same barefaced tyrant that has
erased all and every trace of Freedom there is in the world and
denied the people of Eritrea every bit of it, now out there calling
for freedom to be zealously guarded and lecturing on the value of
freedom! Well, Eritreans are clamoring 'We're stupefied!
Yiggermenallo!' to that. How dumb does Eritrea tyrant Afewarki
think the people of Eritrea in particular and the rest of the word in
general are?
Economic
emancipation is more or less is the set goal of every nation,
including Eritrea, on earth? There is nothing wrong with such
aspiration even if it is a long shot! But tyrant Afewarki is all but
about that. “Economic emancipation”is what Afewarki
invokes to counter rightful attacks on his exclusive and firm
stranglehold on the economy (denial of economic freedom), call it
economic strangulation, of our country Eritrea! In his perversely
convoluted mind, Afewarki thinks freedom grants him that authority!
“The
safeguarding of freedom is much more demanding than that of
protecting the eye..” preaches economy apostle Afewarki.
Indeed, but there is no freedom to safeguard, zealously guard, ect, in
Eritrea:
There
is no economic freedom
there
is no freedom of speech
there
is no freedom of religion
there
is no freedom of the press
there
is no freedom of political choice
there
is no freedom to elect political leaders
there
is not even freedom of movement
there
is no any other freedom in Eritrea, it is all tyranny!
Economic
emancipation starts at home. The people of Eritrea must be granted
the freedom to liberate and emancipate themselves from Afewarki's
tyrannical stranglehold of their economy first and foremost. The only
expression of economic emancipation in Eritrea is, therefore, freedom
from Afewarki's exclusive stranglehold on our economy. Absent that,
it is economic emancipation my foot! It is all economic strangulation under the pretext of economic emancipation in Eritrea!
