Eritrean
Diaspora Radio Asena Lauds UN Sanctions Against Eritrea Ruler
29
December 2009 Eritrea Daily
Sanctions
or no sanctions have been Eritrea ruler Isias Afewarki’s
decision. At long last, by his action Afewarki opted for sanctions.
Saint Nick heard Afewarki’s wish and passed it to the
international community. Then on Wednesday, 23 December 2009, the eve
of Christmas, the UN Security Council presented Afewarki a Christmas
gift of his life: Adopting resolution 1907 (2009) by overwhelming
vote, the Security Council hit Afewarki with sanctions under Chapter
VII of UN charter!
Now,
back home, only the distorted version of this great news is broadcast
to the people of Eritrea courtesy of tyrant Afewarki’s ministry
of disinformation and propaganda aka EriTV, shabait.com, and Dimtsi
Hafash radio! Knowing that, the people of Eritrea rely on Eritrean
diaspora news outlets for the right news.
Eritrean
Diaspora Radio Asena is the most popular independent radio station
broadcasting directly to Eritrea in two widely spoken local languages
of Tigrigna and Arabic from its base in London, UK, three times a
week. In its yesterday, Monday, 28 December 2009 edition in Tigrigna,
Radio Asena aired an excellent editorial in support of UN sanctions
against tyrant Afewarki and made a sound and an eloquent case to
support and foster UN’s punitive measures against the
perpetrator of tyrannical crime in Eritrea, ruler Isias Afewarki. In
line with its program, Radio Asena is expected to air same editorial
on Friday in Arabic as well. For now, please listen to yesterdays
broadcast below. Thanks.
It
was 2009, 23rd of December the day I'll always remember
yes I do, because it was a day the UN had its authoritative say and tyrant
Afewarki had to pay it was a day like no other day X-Mas eve, UN
acting the right way a day when the SOS of the people of Eritrea got
heard and, tho for its own sake. the UN had alas delivered
Happy
