Eritrean
Youth Resistance Against Tyranny-New Song
25
July 2011 Berhane M Tekeste
Organized
in Cyber Space,Facebook, there is a growing emergence of Eritrean
youth resistance against Eritrea tyrant Isias Afewarki's tyrannical
grip on our country.
The
facebook group that goes by the acronym EYSC for Eritrean Youth
Solidarity for Change has now registered over 6,000 members and counting in a very
short span of time. Motivated by this, Eritrean youth resisting
tyranny in Eritrea are getting organized locally all over the world.
One such group is that of the musically talented Eritrean youth in
Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. This youth group is now trying to communicate
their resistance against tyranny to their peers all over the world
best they know: Via contemporary and very appealing music-hip hop and
are succeeding! Towards that effect, the EYSC in Cincinnati released
a song entitled 'Nikales Bblhi or 'Let's struggle smart' over the
weekend that resonated with the rest of their peers very well and has
become a hit already. In response, the group is working on making
this song available on CD and in video via Youtube very soon. The
release is first of its kind, very timely and there is no doubt in my
mind it will motivate, galvanize, and fire up the Eritrean youth to
rise up and to resist tyranny in Eritrea.
Way
to go EYSC-Cincinnati ! We are very proud of you! Great job, well
done, keep it up!
Thanks
to Amanuel, member of the EYSC group, for sharing this indeed
motivational and inspiring song with us so promptly. Pass the word
folks. Yes 'Alewuna, Alewana'! Listen below:
