UK Appoints Defense And Intel Expert New Ambassador To Eritrea

On Friday, 20 Jan 12, the UK announced it is replacing career diplomat and current Ambassador to Eritrea, Mrs. Sandra Tyler-Haywood, with pretty much career defense and intelligence expert, Dr. Amanda Susannah Tanfield, as next ambassador to Eritrea effective April 2012. Makes perfect sense because at this time what the defiant and UN Sanctioned Eritrea tyrant Isias Afareki needs is up close monitoring rather than diplomatic babysitting! Below FCO's announcement:
