3 Nov: Africa v. Eritrea tyrant on Lampedusa massacre Mourning Day

3 November 2013

Today, entire Africa shares the pains of the people of Eritrea that have lost hundreds of their young sons and daughters in the Lampedusa shipwreck on 3 Oct 2013 by mourning the Eritrean refugees, praying for them and their families, and lowering respective national flags to half-mast in their honor.

As expected,  there is no word or mention of this Africa Continental Mourning day for the Lampedusa massacre in the land of the massacred refugees, over 360 of them, Eritrea. Eritrea tyrant Isias Afareki and his propaganda media outlets are all silent!

There is a germane saying in local language: "An Eritrean that does not feel and share the pains of fellow Eritreans is not an Eritrean" in Tigrigna:
Qanza Eritreawian ZeySimiO Eritreawi, Eritreawi Aykonen! That saying befits Eritrea tyrant par excellent today! But expatriate Eritreans around the globe are observing this day with prayer and mourning.

Africa has declared 3rd of November Continental day of mourning for the victims of the 3 Oct 2013 Lampedusa shipwreck massacre. The massacred refugees are mainly Eritreans (360) and reportedly 8 Ethiopians.

The ship captain, Tunisian was rescued. On the day it happened, Italy declared National Day of Mourning by lowering its flag to half-mast and a moment of silence in its parliament. The EU too opened its session with a moment of silence. Eritrea tyrant has to date not uttered a word about the said massacre of Eritren refugees.

Tyrant Isias Afareki has not declared a National day of mourning sofar. The  people of Eritrea remain denied of their right to mourn their loved ones even in private

Now Africa is challenging the tyrant to observe 3 November 2013 as a National Mourning day for the victims of Lampedusa by lowering the nations flag to half-mast and possible prayers. So far Eritrea tyrant has remained mum!

Today, the AU has already conducted religious ceremonies at its headquarters in Addis Ababa. As for Eritrea tyrant, come 3 November, he is doomed either way! We shall see. Below is AU's press release issued yesterday as to the preparation to 3 Nov.

Note: The ship that sank on 3 October 2013 off the shores of Lampedusa carried mainly Eritreans(518), a Tunisian captain, and some 8 Ethiopians. No Syrians or Somalis.
