3 Dec: Flashmob, Candle Light in memory of Lampedusa Massacre of Eritreans

Rome, Italy, 3 Dec 2013--The 3 Oct 13 Lampedusa Massacre of 368 Eritreans was remembered in front of the Italian Parliament, Montecitorio place, on this day. The event was organized by the 3OCTOBER COMMITTEE, aka COMITATO 3OTOBRE,which movement has been established soon after the Lampedusa Massacre with the goal of making 3 October a legal Memorial Day of Eritreans Massacred in Lampedusa in Italy, a proposal that has the support of sound majority of the Italian parliament and notable International Organizations including the UNHCR.
The British and French associates of 'COMITATO 3OTOBRE' staged similar events in their respective cities including in Dublin, just to mention a few. The British and French are calling upon both the Italian government and the EU to declare 3 October Memorial Day of Eritrean Massacre in Lampedusa.
