Asmara, Eritrea-Eritrea tyrant had a bir surprise to the world on this 23rd Eritrea Independence Anniversary! At the end of his address to the nation today,24 May 2014, Eritrea tyrant, Isas Afarekid, proclaimed: "Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to announce on this occasion that a constitution drafting process will be launched in order to chart out the political road map for the future governmental structure." Oh really! What constitution? The one in planet Mars? Remember? Isn't a constitution just a piece of paper? UK, Israel don't have a constitution?
Whatever happened to the one we already long drafted and ratified 1997? Never mind. It is all Eritrea tyrant's big time bluff, a barenaked swindle! Constitutional governance means demise of tyranny and Eritrea tyrant! And Eritrea tyrant is not about to commit political suicide, only over his dead body!
Just about 3 months, Feb 2014, ago appearing on ERiTV the tyrant dismissed democracy as extra-terrestrial and advised those Eritrean to go to a different planet or the moon with their call for democracy and multi-party systems, It won't happen in Eritrea, emphasized the tyrant! This move is a ploy Eritrea tyrant is using to blunt international calls for the implementation of the 1997 constitution on the one hand, and on the other the hand, the said move is also a ploy to extend the tyrant's reign over Eritrea under the pretext of 'we are in the process of drafting a constitution, takes time!'
