One Government at a time: Fact or Fallacy M.
Filli A. One government at a
time is only mandatory If peace and order is to reign
in any country. This is the full sentence of concept definition That must be quoted without any diminution The phrase one government at a time is a fiction If not read in tandem with line two for completion I call it The Concept to prevent fragmentation Which is seen and caused by willful amputation Universal concept of international community And Eritrea is not an exceptional entity Undisputed concept expressing democracy Witnessed every day as fact not fallacy One Gov. at a time valid in Europe & Africa Asia, Australia, South and North America Sane people want peace &
order to reign in all forms Granting utmost relevance to the
concept in all terms For it is the universally
accepted world norm Regardless
of country and government form “One Gov.” neither refers to nor
excludes G.of Eritrea It’s a generic term; so, no need
for this kind of hysteria “One Gov.” at a time is a
conceptual perception Not some arbitrary factual
utterance of intention Does not qualify political nature
of gov. in practice Thus, applicable universally
without any prejudice It does not endorse any political
structure Hence it’s of independent
political nature It only justifies the need for
one gov. at any given time For peace & order to reign,
to avoid anarchy & crime Peace, means no war or crime as a
minimum policy Order, is prevalence of minimum
societal normalcy The conditional concept is of
utmost relevance to Eritrea The alternative is feasible and
can be seen in our area Yes, it is doable but detrimental
to Eritrea See situation in our neighboring
Somalia A country with obviously
homogenous society Let alone Eritrea, homeland of
ethnic variety Defiance of the “One Gov.”
concept in another area Are the variants in the Congo,
Siera Leone or Liberia Who wants to plunge Eritrea into
any of those situations Calling “One Gov.” concept
irrelevant sine hesitations? One gov’ at a time by itself makes no sense Because that is only half of the full sentence Yes, it means zip, nil, nichts and fictitious And becomes nothing more than fallacious Diatribe based only on one partial quoting Therefore is too much ado about nothing Get the pieces of the concept flawless together Make your case clear and loud to whomever Botha/Mandela did not fight over concept validity But who should be in S.Africa the One authority This is also true and valid not only in Eritrea But also in Irak, Germany and North Korea One government at a time in Eritrea is not exclusionary Could be Gxy, or GOE, but only one to run the country No eternal power is bestowed upon any one party Democracy mandates periodical transfer of authority It doesn’t mean a O.K for tyranny of one government But accepting one government despite disagreement In Eritrea, it is one
government at a time If only to avoid anarchy,
chaos, and crime The government de jour in Eritrea is vied by some Who have but to patiently wait for their turn to come Peaceful and democratic transfer of authority is fine And concept of one gov. at a time will just be in line With peace, order, and sovereignty well secure No reason to extend leadership beyond tenure Democracy calls for election of new leadership To avoid the appearance of rule of dictatorship Free, fair and open elections being guaranteed People eligible have a good chance to succeed Acknowledging the work of others, obvious or not Is a sine qua non in academia, and means a lot It also applies to electronic, print, or non-print media To prevent plagiarism and learn from other’s idea In colleges, plagiarism results in academic futility In public, loss of credibility and big time humility One gov.at a time is neither novelty/invention, or variety But people get credit for first application in our society Concept of one gov. at a time is a conditional entry Valid only if peace and order is to reign in a country It is a fact if peace and order is to reign Fallacy if chaos and anarchy is suzerain Maintaining peace and order is not an option Hence the concept is a fact not a deception It is the pillar of modern day democracy Absent that, there is no societal normalcy Concept of one gov. at a time has democratic integrity Embodiment of rule of majority
and right of minority The concept of one gov.at a time is alive Without which Eritrea et al can’t survive For current or future government Is a valuable political instrument Governments come and go, succeed
or fail But people, country of Eritrea
will prevail Eritrea will prevail Dr. M. Filli A. |
