open embassy in Zionist entity
Tel Aviv -
The Zionist foreign minister, Sylvan Shalom, has affirmed that Eritrea had
tabled an official request with his government today to open a diplomatic
mission in “Israel”.
Eritrea has signed a number of military and security agreements with the
Zionist entity since its independence from Ethiopia in 1993.
The Zionist entity was interested in signing such agreements to ensure its
infiltration into the strategic Red Sea area in addition to exercising
pressures on Egypt and the Sudan through Zionist presence in the countries of
the Nile basin.
Sudanese officials had affirmed that Tel Aviv was playing a role in fueling the
current mutiny in Darfur to the west of the country through Eritrea that had
also played a similar role in the southern Sudanese rebellion. June 21, 2004
