Slovakia ends participation in UN peace mission in Eritrea
Sunday, Jul 25, 2004 - Slovakia has ended its participation in the UN peace mission in Eritrea - and the last [Slovak] soldiers have returned home.
The Slovak Army still needs to transfer the [Slovak] combat equipment back from Africa.
Slovak soldiers were in Eritrea from 2000 and in the border area they controlled the observation of a cease-fire between hostile Ethiopia and Eritrea. [passage omitted]
