Eritrean prez raps world community for laxity on border row
Asmara, Eritrea, 26 Jul 2004 - Eritreans from the Diaspora [who are now in the country on holiday] met and held talks with President Isayas Afewerki in Sawa [Military Training Camp, in western Eritrea] on 24 July, where they discussed ways of enhancing their role in media, information and diplomatic activities.
Indicating that the weyane [Ethiopian] regime was rushing for war in rejection of the verdict by the [Eritrea-Ethiopia] Boundary Commission not because it had economic strength but because of negligence by the international community, President Isayas Afewerki urged Eritreans in the Diaspora to play their role in [resolving] the issue.
