SA's foreign minister heads to Eritrea with message from Mbeki -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Johannesburg, Sunday, 01 Aug 04 - South Africa's Foreign Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma is expected in Eritrea on Monday (2 Aug) ahead of a scheduled meeting with her Eritrean counterpart, the Department of Foreign Affairs said on Sunday.
Dlamini-Zuma returned to South Africa on Saturday from Ghana where she accompanied President Thabo Mbeki to a high level meeting of African presidents in Accra, at which the situations in the Ivory coast, Darfur and Liberia were discussed, said department spokesman Ronnie Mamoepa.
The summit was also attended by United Nations secretary general Kofi Annan. Dlamini-Zuma will deliver a message from Mbeki in Eritrea, when she pays a courtesy call on the country's president. She is expected back in South Africa on Tuesday.
